The Philosophy of Upaya: Inner Alchemy over External Crutches
In classical Vedic philosophy, planetary afflictions are not hostile curses; they are the external reflection of personal Prarabdha Karma (past impressions ripening in this lifetime). True remedies (Upayas) must therefore work on consciousness itself.
Astronik takes an uncompromising stand against fear-mongering and the aggressive sale of overpriced gemstones. We return to the classical remedial quartet taught by Sage Parashara:
1. Mantra Japa (Sacred Sound Vibration)
Sound is the primary vibration of creation. Chanting planetary Beej Mantras or Vedic stotras (such as the Aditya Hridaya Stotra for the Sun or Hanuman Chalisa for Mars) calms mental agitation and attunes the subtle nervous system to divine frequencies.
2. Daan (Targeted Charitable Giving)
Releasing wealth or resources corresponding to afflicted planets breaks egoic clinging. For instance, offering sesame seeds and mustard oil to the underprivileged aligns with Saturn's lessons of humility and service.
3. Vrata (Sacred Fasting & Discipline)
Periodic voluntary abstinence (such as Ekadashi or planetary fasting on Mondays/Saturdays) purifies the digestive fire (Jatharagni), calms the emotional Moon, and demonstrates spiritual discipline.
4. Seva (Selfless Action & Karma Yoga)
Caring for aging parents, planting sacred trees, feeding birds and stray animals, and honoring teachers are the most potent remedies praised across the Puranas.
